XIII Sunday after Pentecost

(Luke 17: 11-19)

In this passage we see how Jesus healed ten lepers and only one returned to give thanks.

1. He tells them to be submitted to the priests to fulfill what was prescribed by law. The Lord makes clear the need to adhere to law enforcement. In many passages of the Gospels it is reflected Jesus will comply with laws (case of the adulterous woman, the tribute to Caesar, tribute to the temple ...). This is due to the fact that human law (positive) are based on natural laws, and these in turn divine laws. When man ignores the fulfillment of God's laws, then also it dispenses with the human and in the end, even the same laws given by man, running around in chaos and tyranny.

And there is also talk of ecclesiastical field. It has been derided and eliminated before Vatican II magisterium; and as for the post-Vatican II teaching, I have nothing to say, then you also know him. Dogmas, sacraments, liturgical laws ... have been eliminated.

Against this, the Lord insists on the need to observe the law; indeed, He is the first to comply.

2. Of the ten lepers who were healed, only one returned to give thanks. Thankfulness is an attitude of love to one who has done us good. We must be thankful to God for all he has done for us: We pulled the abyss and we became her children; He restored our dignity; He taught us to be men and children of God; God meaning to our lives; taught us to be honest, decent, truthful, free. I only knew love when I met Christ. He taught me the value of work ...

Stop being mere spectators of this world and commit ourselves to Christ. He has done everything for me; and instead, I what have I done for him? We must be grateful.

The whole world is falling apart and sinking around us. Against all this is our trust in Him and His words. Behold I come quickly and my reward is with me!
